For a quarter century I’ve positively impacted people’s lives as a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Health & Lifestyle Coach, post–rehab technician, Speaker, Columnist and Author.

During this time, I’ve shared inspiration, guidance and best-in-class techniques on how to be healthier and more fit by turbocharging your metabolism, maintaining a healthy weight and exercising intelligently through every age and every stage of life. As a fellow Baby Boomer, I understand how challenging it is to live “middle-agelessly.” I understand how difficult it is to overcome “bad genes” and a lifetime of neglecting one’s body.

I’ve engaged, equipped and empowered individuals, partners, small groups and large organizations through Personal Training, Coaching Sessions, Keynotes, Seminars, Monthly Newspaper Columns, Blog Posts and my Book Leave the Cannoli Take the Weights: Practical Guidance on Eating, Exercise and Empowerment.

My formal education includes a BS from Seton Hall University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. In addition, I have been certified as a Personal Trainer from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) since 1996. ACE has also certified me as a Health & Lifestyle Coach. In addition I’m a member of IDEA and I’m an associate member of the American College of Sports Medicine.

I hold Specialty Training Certificates in:

  • Fitness Programming and Design for Seniors
  • Lifestyle Fitness Coaching
  • Sports Nutrition
  • Lifestyle Wellness Coaching
  • Practical Yoga for Personal Trainers

Over the past 25 years, I’ve been published over 250 times in local and regional newspapers. Some have described me as “…Jack LaLanne meets Jack Welch.”
I live in Wellington, Florida with my wife Karin and our rescued English Setter Winston. When I’m not working with clients, writing newspaper columns, blogging or speaking, I enjoy reading, riding my bike, exercising, playing tennis, walking Winston and drinking wine. But not necessarily in that order.
